OBSTETRICS

Obstetric Services

From the moment you start thinking about pregnancy to the weeks after your baby arrives, our obstetric team at Dr. Nader and Associates is here to guide you with experienced, personalized care. We monitor your health and your baby’s development, manage complications when they arise, and support you through the physical and emotional changes that come with growing a family.

Deliveries are performed at MountainView Hospital, and our providers are with you from your first prenatal visit through postpartum recovery.

Planning for Pregnancy

The healthiest pregnancies start before conception. Preconception counseling gives you the opportunity to review your medical history, optimize your health, start prenatal vitamins, and address any conditions or medications that could affect pregnancy. Whether this is your first baby or you’ve been through it before, this visit helps you enter pregnancy with the strongest possible foundation.

If you’re planning to start trying in the next 6 to 12 months, have a chronic health condition, or have experienced previous pregnancy complications, preconception counseling is especially valuable.

Prenatal Care

Regular prenatal visits are the cornerstone of a healthy pregnancy. Our team monitors fetal growth and development, screens for potential complications, manages pregnancy symptoms, and prepares you for labor, delivery, and life after birth.

Your first prenatal appointment is typically scheduled around 8 weeks. From there, visits follow a standard schedule that increases in frequency as you approach your due date: every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks from 28 to 36 weeks, and weekly from 36 weeks until delivery.

Each visit is also your time to ask questions, talk about how you’re feeling, and get guidance on nutrition, activity, and what to expect next.

Prenatal Testing & Screening

We offer a full range of testing to monitor your pregnancy and give you early insight into your baby’s health.

  • Ultrasound services are available in-office for dating scans, anatomy scans, and ongoing fetal monitoring. Having imaging on-site means faster results and real-time conversation with your provider.
  • Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) is a simple blood test available as early as 10 weeks that screens for chromosomal conditions like Down syndrome with greater than 99% accuracy and no risk to you or your baby.
  • Genetic screening and carrier screening help identify whether you or your partner carry genes for inherited conditions. We work with BillionToOne and other healthcare partners to provide advanced genetic testing services.

Your provider will explain each test, what it screens for, and help you decide which options are right for your pregnancy.

High-Risk Pregnancy Care

If you have a medical condition or develop complications during pregnancy, our team provides closer monitoring and individualized care plans. We have experience managing hypertension and preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, multiple gestation (twins, triplets), preterm labor risk, advanced maternal age, placental complications, and premature rupture of membranes.

We partner with maternal-fetal medicine specialists when needed to ensure you receive the highest level of support. Even with added risk factors, many patients go on to have healthy pregnancies and deliveries with the right care in place.

Specialized Pregnancy Care

We provide expert prenatal care for patients with unique circumstances, including IVF pregnancies and surrogate pregnancies.

  • IVF pregnancy care addresses the specific needs of patients transitioning from a fertility clinic, including medication management, heightened early monitoring, and emotional support for patients who may carry extra anxiety after a long fertility journey.
  • Surrogate pregnancy care provides comprehensive prenatal support for gestational carriers, with coordinated communication between the surrogate, intended parents, and our medical team throughout pregnancy and delivery.

VBAC Counseling

If you’ve had a cesarean birth in the past and are considering vaginal delivery for a future pregnancy, VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) may be a safe option. Our providers review your surgical history, assess eligibility, explain the benefits and risks, and support you through a trial of labor at MountainView Hospital with continuous monitoring and immediate access to surgical support if needed.

Postpartum Care

Your care doesn’t end after delivery. The postpartum period is a critical time for physical recovery, emotional adjustment, and establishing feeding routines. Our postpartum visits cover incision or vaginal healing, bleeding and uterine recovery, breastfeeding and infant feeding support, postpartum depression and anxiety screening, birth control and family planning, pelvic floor and sexual health after birth.

If something doesn’t feel right after delivery, don’t wait for your scheduled visit. Call us at (702) 818-1919.
